Obituary of P. Wayne Larocque

Larocque, P. Wayne "Peewee" It is with great sadness that we announce Wayne's passing on Sunday November 15th, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cancer at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Wayne was the devoted partner of Kathy Jeanneault. Proud father of Erin (Steve), Julian (Kass), and Davis. Step-father of Matt, Adam and Madison. Poppa of Jude and Rory. He will be deeply missed by his sisters Donna (Rene) Sharlan (Yvon), Julie (Doug), Terry (Mitch) and his cherished nephews and niece. He will also be sadly missed by his many ERT brothers from the Ontario Provincial Police. Predeceased by his mother Beatrice (Thomas), father Julian, and his sister Linda Longlad. Wayne was born in Iroquois Falls where he played hockey as a young boy and into Midget. He then moved on to Ontario Police College, where he served 32 years as a respected Police officer in the North Bay area. He was an ERT (Emergency Response Team Member), as well as a teacher for the OPP Acadamy, where he taught most of his career to officers across North Eastern Ontario. Wayne impacted the lives of everyone he met, with his humor, insight, and his ability to make learning fun. A celebration to share laughs and memories of Wayne's life will be held at the Canadian Forces Base Ayr Mess, Duxford Rd, Hornell Heights in the "Blue Room" on Saturday November 21st, from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to All Heart Pet Rescue (Waynes Request!) or the Scollard Hall Athletic Fund would be gratefully appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
