Pee Wee was always a pleasure and patient with me. When I would show up for my firearms training he would announce ( yell out ) we have a devils child here today because I was left handed. Being left handed usually required making some minor changes, hand movements etc., which he would accomplish with humour.
Thanks for putting up with the leftie.

I am so, so sad to hear that Wayne has passed away. I will always remember him as a funny, knowledgable and caring man who always made the day brighter just by his presence. A team player and a guy's guy. He will not be forgotten. Please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the announcement. So sorry for the loss of Wayne. We were in Brampton together in 1982. He always had a smile on his face and was the eternal peace maker. Almost all of us were sent north but Wayne thought he'd really drawn the short straw when he got Armstrong. He certainly has left a legacy in what sounds like an amazing family and he surely will never be forgotten by any of us that were blessed to learn, work or play alongside him. Just a great guy. The Weaver My life is but a weaving between my God and me. I cannot choose the colours, He weaveth steadily. Oft' times He weaveth sorrow and I, in foolish pride Forget He sees the upper, and I, the underside. Not 'til the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly Will God unroll the canvas and reveal the reason why The dark threads are as needful in the weaver's skillful hand as the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned. He knows, He loves, He cares; Nothing this truth can dim. He gives His very best to those who leave the choice to Him.

Dear Larocque family; Many years back I happened to run into Wayne at the Esso station in Alliston. Over coffee we visited, catching up on family, life and friends from our time together in high school. A great guy. My heart aches for all of you. Trish xo “There is sacredness in tears. Wayne was a great neighbour and friend always willing to lend a hand or some spices when asked! We have a lot of great memories of Wayne on Wasi, taking the kids tubing or fishing of the boat. He loved to tease the kids and me as well about eating bon bons and watching Springer! He will be missed terribly but never forgotten! To Kathy and all of the family, hold all of your memories close to your heart and speak of him often.

We didn't know Wayne but through your posts online we could see what a wonderful person he was and how much he meant to you (Kathy) and your family. You were all lucky to have had each other for the time you did, though sadly cut short. Thinking about you all, however knowing you have wonderful family and great friends there to help you all through this.

Wow I have no words that will ever adequately describe how sad Wayners passing has affected us. He was such an amazing guy and friend that I am quite literally speechless. Cathy I remember at Harvey's wake you telling me that you and Wayne were together and I was extremely happy for both of you. This is such a travesty of what is supposed to happen to good people that I am honestly angered by it. Like many who have experienced too much in the policing proffession, both Jenn and I will hold on to the belief that some good will come of this. Thanks Wayner for being such a great guy and inspiration and may you rest in piece Brother. Dave Moore

To Wayne's family: I will certainly miss Wayne waving as he drove by the house in his boat on Wasi Lake and the periodic times he would stop to sit on my dock and have a visit with me. His quick wit was a true gift and he had a true gift of making people feel special. My prayers are with your family at this time and in the days, weeks, and months to come. Sincerely, Dave Opatovsky

Phil Coulter wrote The tears have all been shed now We've said our last goodbyes His soul's been blessed, he's laid to rest And it's now I feel alone. He was more than just a father, a teacher and a friend He can still be heard in the tunes we shared When we sang them on our own. I never will forget him He helped to make me what I am Though he may be gone memory lingers on And I miss him, my dear friend Sometimes he'd go walking by mountain, field and stream And he'd show us things not known to Kings And rhe secrets between him and me Like the colours of the pheasant When he rises in the dawn And how to fish and make a wish Beside his favourite tree No, I never will forget him He helped to make me what I am Though he may be gone, memory lingers on And I miss him, that sweet man. I thought he'd live forever He seemed so big and strong But the minutes fly and the years go by Now my old friend is gone And suddenly when it happened There was so much left unsaid No second chance to tell him thanks For everything he's done No, I never will forget him For he helped to make me what I am Though he may be gone, memory lingers on And I miss him, my dear friend. Man, we had some laughs! Rest in peace old friend.

Wayne had the innate ability to see thru the "fog" and get to the meat of the discussion or problem. He had a selflessness that drew u to his good nature, his honesty and his comical wisdom. I truly enjoyed working with Peewee in the ERT setting and learning from him in the classroom setting...a man of great courage to the end. Enjoy the great beyond my friend
