Mrs. Downey-Fay was my favourite high school teacher. She was fun and so kind hearted! I’ll always remember how she came to visit me after the birth of our Firstborn. It was Nov.1988 (a year after graduation) somehow she learned of me having a baby girl and she showed up at the hospital with a gift for her! I was so taken back! What teacher does this? She had a heart of gold! Everafter, we kept in touch annually by letter/Christmas card (until she moved from her home on Portage). I will always remember her! My heartfelt condolences to her Family & Friends.

Bruce & Mark and families, I remember with great fondness the lunches in North Bay with your Mom at East Side Mario's. Best of all was our 2 weeks on the Grand Tour of France and our photo exchange afterwards. Your Mom was a great friend & colleague, an inspiring Home Ec. teacher, dedicated Mom and Grand Mom. She was well known for her love of raspberry pie at our Socials with the AHSS staff. I am sure your many adventures with your Mom will be in your heart and memory forever. Caroline Miller
