I can imagine union meetings being held in heaven with Gord, Charlie, Ron, Vic and Jim in the lead. I know Gord is missed by his family, friends and OPSEU/ OPSSU.

I met Gord at the North-Bay
Centennials. Hockey games. We where both season tickets holders he had the seats in front of me and we were always yelling at the referees because of all their (in our eyes) bad calls I’m going to miss you at the poker table and on the golf course my friend. We had decided that we were going to go down and play a round at Hawkridge golf course this summer Gord I will go down to Hawkridge and play 18 holes in your name and then of course, go to the clubhouse and raise a glass to you my friend

Gord was a fierce advocate for workers rights.
I worked with him for 20 years in OPSEU and we occasionally disagreed but always had the members best interests as our goal....sad day to see him leave us and condolences to Carole and family as they struggle to fill this huge hole in the family compact...
