Desi was always friendly and respectful to the ladies in the building - our retirement apartment house at 717 Broadview Avenue, Toronto.

I have known and enjoyed Maurice's company since 2013, when he moved into our seniors' residence in Toronto.
Though he was already partly disabled, he joined in most social events, volunteering his own savory dishes, created Halloween decorations and added witty observations to many of our conversations.
For our extensive gardens he generously bought soils, donated gardening tools to all and planted beds of herbs. He is already very much missed by all his friends at 717 Broadview.
Maurice was a unique individual who helped me put up Christmas decorations, repaired anything that was needed and made a lasting impact on us all.
