Obituary of Eileen Margaret Taylor
Eileen was born in Thessalon, Ontario on February 18, 1925, daughter of James and Susanna Driver and sister of the late Herman, Lawson (Eileen), Morris (June), Glenn (Shirley), and Donna (Bruce). Eileen married William Ewart Gladstone (Glad) Taylor in 1948. He predeceased her in December 1981. Eileen was also the loving partner and best friend of Jim McCarthy who has predeceased her as well. She is the beloved mother of Jim (Aila) Taylor, Gerry (Sandra) Taylor, Judy (Barry) Craig and Doug (Jennifer) Taylor. Proud grandmother of Brenna (Jeff) Aultman, Michael Taylor, Brad (Jessica) Craig, Deanna (Dann) Pigozzo, Geoff and Nancy Taylor, Taylor (Vanessa) Craig, Lauren Taylor, Cameron Taylor, Jayden Taylor, Kim Standing and Regan Standing. Great Grandmother of Gianna and Roman Pigozzo, Kale and Blair Craig, Olivia, Matthew and Alexis Taylor. Fondly remembered by the McCarthy family, Joan and Bob Belecque, Beth McCarthy and Karen and Ralph Beaudoin.
Eileen was an amazing mom to her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had an amazing group of friends that she shared many memories with. They have all since passed and she will be with them all soon. Eileen was an avid curler and actually was part of an eight ender at the Granite Club. Eileen was an active member of Laurier Avenue United Church and a member of Trinity United Church.
Visitation for Eileen will take place at Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday December 21, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. followed immediately by funeral service conducted by Colin Vezina. Reception to follow service. Interment to take place in the spring of 2024. The family wish to thank the staff at Nipissing Manor who were loving and kind. We love you mom so much and will miss you everyday.
