Dear Carol and family, you have not lost Bill for you know where he is and heaven is celebrating his arrival. Your dad was the quintessential Christian gentleman in every respect. Our thots and prayers are with you in these tender moments.

Deepest sympathies to all! I have some great memories of fishing trips with Bill up in Shining Tree. What a guy! It was on a pretty remote lake that we’d have to portage to get to, with miles of shoreline and lots of islands. Well, because of the effort to get to our fishing spots, Bill would insist on staying up on that lake until every bit of light had drained from the western skyline. It should have been a long difficult boat ride back, especially with the portage. But not for Bill! He’d crank that 15 hp Johnson full throttle all the way. None of us could see a thing, not even the shoreline. But Bill could navigate that lake with his eyes closed. Bill was one of a kind. He’ll be missed.
