To the Wunsch family members we express our sincere condolences, especially to Peter and Patti.
We have always enjoyed our visits and conversations with Ed at his home and at our home as well. Also, the invitations we received on numerous occasions to visit his magnificent vegetable garden were always an event to look forward to - especially his insistence that we leave with more vegetables than we desired. This was only one instance of many that indicated that Ed was " a big man with a big heart ". These times spent with Ed will never be forgotten

Peter and Patti, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your dad. I have often thought about him, and about the many encounters that I had with him. One incident that I particularly remember was when Peter and I were kids and we were playing "catch" on your dad's front lawn. One of my pitches became wild and went right through the glass of a bedroom window. I was so scared about what the consequences would be. Your dad never said a word to me about it, instead, he and my dad quietly worked out a solution. I was invited back soon afterwards, and your dad had a big smile for me, as he always did. He was a man I always respected.

My condolences to the Wunsch family. 'Eddie' was a friend of my family and a neighbour since I was a child. I remember him as a kind, generous, respectful, and intelligent man with a love for animals and other nature. His special recipe dill pickles were always a treat, and he was happy to share them!

Peter ,Patti and families please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Dad. Ed and I have been close friends for over forty years. We have hunted and fished together and enjoyed the outdoors. Ed was a smart and honest business man he provided employment for many Mattawa forest workers. A true gentleman I will miss my friend. Please know my thoughts and prayers walk with you during this most difficult of times

A great man has left this earth. We will be forever grateful to have known Eddie, enjoyed some of the bounty from his garden, and exchanged a few stories and some good books to read from time to time. Peter, Patti, Ashley and Andrew have lost a father and grandfather. May the memories of him be a blessing. We definitely will have fond memories to carry through our lives. Dear Peter and Patti and family: It is with heavy hearts we wish to express our deepest sympathies to all of you at this very difficult time. Your Dad answered his Father when he called him home on Sunday morning. His journey here was complete and he has left behind a great legacy in all of you, his children and grandchildren. You were his greatest joy and he loved sharing with Johanna what was happening in your lives during their weekly visits and later their phone conversations. He loved you dearly. Your Dad was a great man of faith and he lived his life through his faith. He had a huge heart and loved to share what he had with others. As you travel this road over the next few days weeks and months continue to share in your memories and may these memories help carry you.
