Saddened to hear of the passing of a very dear man, Al was more like a father to me than my own. Al was a mentor, friend and confident, he helped & guided me, treated me with utmost respect. While I was a youth he guided my career and secured my first real job. As a young adult he tought me many skills ones I still use to this very day. Although we had lost touch I often thought of him and spoke of him. My condolences. Frank.

Dear Peter, Cindy and families, Our condolences on the passing of your dad. I remember so fondly the times our families spent together, actually just vaguely right back to Oak Ridges with little Peter, Anna and Arne colouring on the living room floor. Our folks were good friends for a very long time. I remember Alan's humour, his joy in a good game of cards and particularly the times Val and Alan spent on Trout Lake and Lake Nipissing patiently trawling for the big one.
