Obituary of Joseph Jean-Claude Richard Belanger

BÉLANGER - Richard Life long Mattawa resident Joseph Jean Claude Richard Bélanger died peacefully at the Mattawa General Hospital on Friday October 24, 2014 at the age of 83 years. Predeceased in 1988 be his beloved wife Louise (nee Monnette) he was the proud and loving father of Pierre (Madeline Pellerin) of Mattawa, Nicole Bélanger (Gary Newberger) of Montreal and Ginette Bélanger (Tracy Rich)of North Bay. He was predeceased by his infant son Jean Claude and grandchildren Cynthia and Adam. He will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Chantal, Eric, & Stephan, and his great grandchildren Gabriele, Chloe, Brooklyn, Colombe, Ethan, Adrien, Vanessa, & Bridgette. Son of the late Oscar and Oliva Bélanger he is survived by his brothers Bernard of Ottawa and Paul-Emile and his sisters Gisele and Diane all of Mattawa. He was predeceased by his siblings George, Blanche, Ethel, Roger, Fernande, Lucien, Maurice, and Andre. A faithful and dedicated member of St Anne's Parish Richard was the Ambulance Supervisor for the Mattawa Hospital of 22 years. Friends may call at Martyn & Sloan Mattawa Chapel on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 11:00am on Tuesday October 28th. Interment to follow in St. Anne's Cemetery.
