Barb & Bill I cannot imagine how difficult the loss of your Mom must be for you and your family. I, as I know all of us do, have only wonderful memories of your Mom. She may have been tiny but she sure packed a lot of goodness, kindness, love and generosity into her huge heart. I wish I had some amazing words which would give you great comfort but I don't. Since hearing of the tragic accident I have had all of you in my thoughts and prayers.Knowing how your hearts are hurting. I have wonderful memories of 1139 High. the hospitality, the meals, the open door, the sleepovers. Then later in life my Mom speaking of visiting with your Mom on ladies day at the golf course. Barb, Karyn & Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss and finding the right words to give you some comfort at this time is next to impossible. I will always remember your Mom as being kind, gentle, soft-spoken and always with a smile on her face. Your family’s generosity with spaghetti dinners at the cottage (elaboration not required), endless meals being served on High Street, copious sleep-overs and the sense of love and comfort your Mom and Dad both provided will always be remembered.

We very often had the pleasure in meeting Edna with her friends at TIm Hortons, and she would always come to our table FoR a chat! Our common denominator was, we bought Clyde and Edna's family cottage on Four Mile Bay, Trout Lake!! i always enjoyed telling her of our changes and some things we would not change! I often invited her come visit, so she would see stuff we retained of the love they put into it, and the Memories the family had! She told me of many of antics! We have always enjoyed Edna and her good outlook of Life. She was fun, and her coffee group loved her too! May she find Clyde and RIP with him, and tell him of all her good times at Timmies! We will miss you !

My heart goes out to all of you. I have known Edna for years through St. Andrew's as the very "classy" woman - 4th pew back. It was only recently that I started to go for lunch with her and a few others after church. I feel truly blest to have known her as a friend.

So many happy and meaningful childhood memories of Edna Russell. Always so kind and caring. Made me feel like I had a second home on High St. and at the cottage. She was a wonderful and generous person. So glad she had such a long and fulfilling life. My condolences to all the family. I know she will be so greatly missed!
