Obituary of Alfred George Rogers

Rogers, Alfred “George” After a lengthy battle with cancer, George passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday, June 4th, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Liz Rogers (nee Henderson), in his 83rd year. Loving father of Lynda Swan, Dan Turner (wife Janice), Leah Balsden (husband Doug), Gina Rogers St. Jean, and Christine Brotton (husband Julian). Proud grandfather of Chrystal Swan, Matthew & Mark Turner, Sean & Scott Rogers; and great-grandchildren Chanté & Colyn Swan. Survived by his dear brother Robert Rogers (wife Delaine). Predeceased by his brother Ted Rogers. George was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #445, and will be sadly missed by his friends there. A memorial service will be held at the Callander Legion Branch 445 on Friday, June 8th at 1 p.m. A donation to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
