Obituary of Bernice Elsie Conrad

CONRAD - Bernice Elsie Bernice’s family sadly announces her death, peacefully at Nipissing Manor Care Giving Centre on Monday April 9th, 2012 at the age of 93 years. For sixty six years Bernice (nee Beaton) was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Donald “Lefty” Conrad, who predeceased her in 2008. The loving mother of Dr. John and his wife Kathy, and their daughters Jill (husband Garrett), Amy and Lori, of Richland, Washington, Nadine Conrad, and Brian and his wife Cathy, and their son Thomas all of North Bay, and the late James Calvin, an infant son who predeceased her in 1952.. The last surviving member of her family Bernice was predeceased by her parents Charles and Lillian Beaton (nee Passmore), brothers Charles and Jack, and her sisters Frances, Dorothy Ann, Doreen, Dorothy Isobel, and Muriel. A long time employee of the Nipissing Board of Education, Bernice retired in 1982 after many years of service. She will also be remembered as a faithful and dedicated member of the IODE. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Emmanuel United Church, 395 Lakeshore Drive, on Monday April 16th from 11:00am until time for a memorial service in the sanctuary at 12:00 noon. Interment of ashes in Terrace Lawn Cemetery will follow.
