For My Sister In Law I am grateful for many things in my life; one of them is that you were my sister in law. You came into my life in 1979 when I began to see Rhea. You were not only her beloved sister but also like a second mother to her. From the beginning I knew that you would do anything to protect her. I will never forget what you asked me when Rhea and I were leaving the reception hall after our wedding. You asked me to take care of your sister. I honor that request and will do so for the rest of my life. Right from the start you made me feel very welcome and comfortable. That is something I appreciate beyond the power of words to explain. Whenever I needed to talk I felt I could approach you. You always listened without judging me and for that I love you. One of the happiest days of my life was at Robyn and Blair's wedding. I think you knew how happy she was to have you there to share in the joy of the day. Robyn loves you very much; you were not only her aunt but also her godmother; that is a bond which will never be broken. We are infinitely richer for having known and loved you; we are infinitely poorer for having lost you far too soon. We will love you until the end of time! Al

To the memory of Prescille who lived along the Mattawa River Life is like a river you know Its water continually flows Where it all goes, seems we don’t always know Like life, a river takes you to the right, to the left On its banks is where we live Never knowing if we go with or combat its flows At times its flows are a sweet and endearing calmness Sometimes enough to make you forget If only our future we could set…. Like its current, life does have its turbulent times When going with the flow is intertwined And these times are like its unrestrained current Ripping you under and not letting you go The beauty you’ve passed on your way though Liken to a sweet smile from a friend or loved one A kiss and tender moment shared Time spent caring for family These times are rivalled by none, it is your own Liken to the moments shared The memories for which you cared These will last a lifetime and then some We know not what ultimate goal it hurries to May it be the splendour of the blue sea? Or something smaller like the quaintness of Transparent Lake. To each our lives is a certain path Like the river, the traveler goes with its own flow This traveler could be you So make the best of the flow given to you Be aware of the certain good and bad But most of all enjoy and “go with the flow” Because Life is like a River From which you have flowed too soon Sandra & René (Adapted from a poem by Jared Mangum for our beloved sister and sister-in-law Prescille. A la mémoire de Prescille qui a vécu sur la rive de la Mattawa La vie est comme une rivière que tu connais Son eau coule continuellement Là où tout va, il semble que nous ne le savons pas toujours Comme la vie, la rivière nous emmène à la droite et à la gauche Sur ses rives est l'endroit où nous vivons Ne sachant jamais si nous allons avec ou combattons ses courants Parfois ses flots sont un calme doux et attachant Parfois assez pour vous faire oublier Si seulement nous pourrions y fixer notre futur Comme son courant, la vie a ses temps turbulents Quand suivre le courant est entrelacé de nos plans Et les temps, deviennent un courant sans retenue Ce même courant arrachant qui vous retient La beauté que vous rencontrez sur votre chemin Comme le sourire doux d'un ami ou d'un bien aimé Un baiser et un moment tendre partagés Du temps consacré à la famille Ce sont des temps rivaux par aucun, c'est votre propre temps Les moments partagés Les souvenirs pour lesquels tu t'occupais Vont durer toute une vie et encore plus Nous ne savons pas quel but ultime il se hâte à Peut être la splendeur de l'océan bleu?
