Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, she was in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late George Hone. Cherished mother of Ruth (Wesley) Sullivan, Jim (Dorothy) Hone and predeceased by her son Teddy Hone. Proud grandmother of Dean (Kelly), Bonnie, Jamie (Sondra), Laurie-Ann (Jamie) and Natalie (Billy). Lovingly remembered by her 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Irene is predeceased by all of her siblings and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2016 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Rutherglen would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
