Obituary of Yvonne Marie Ann Ricker

RICKER – Yvonne The Ricker family sadly announces the death of their dear mother Yvonne, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday November 22nd, 2016 at the age of 81 years. Yvonne (nee Labreche) was the beloved wife of the late Eldric Ricker, who predeceased her in 1998. She was the proud and loving mother of Joanne Bakker (John) of North Bay, and Suzan Laforest (Gerald) of Garson. Yvonne will be forever remembered by her grandchildren Jodie, Julie, Jill, Brittany, Curtis and Jake, and her great grandchildren Kaiya, Ronin, Cammie, Eddie, Ryker and Audrey. One of eleven children, she is survived by her siblings Rachel (Victor Fortier), Pierre (Lisette), and Simone (Bill Rougoor), and was predeceased by Armand, Annette, Antoine, Aime, Marcel, Ida and Jeannette. A long time resident of Callander, Yvonne will be remembered by many as a volunteer with the Callander Legion. A dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother she enjoyed gardening and was an avid dart player. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, November 26, from 12 noon until time for services in the Chapel at 2:00pm. Spring interment in the Callander Union Cemetery. If desired donations to the Callander Food Bank will be gratefully acknowledged as expression of sympathy. The family wishes to thank the staff at Nipissing Manor for their exceptional care and support over the past three years, and student nurse Hillary and RN Casandra at NBRHC.
