Obituary of Margaret Joan McDonald

McDONALD – Margaret Joan The McDonald family sadly announces their mother’s unexpected death on Saturday March 12, 2016. Margaret died peacefully at her home, North Bay, at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by her husband Louis Alexander, she was the proud and loving mother of Debbie Sullivan (Wayne), of Sudbury, Candy Sullivan (John), Peter (Betty), Verna Bell (Russ), and Betty-Lou Vanamburg (Danny), all of North Bay, John (Shelley) of Copper Cliff, Paul (Toni), of South River, Nick (Shelly) of Orangeville and Tracey McGregor (Colin) also of North Bay. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Predeceased by several brothers and sisters she will be sadly missed by her surviving sister Patricia Peever of North Bay, and her canine companion Daisy. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday March 15th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9pm, with a service to celebrate her life beginning at 8 pm. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in the Callander Union Cemetery later in the spring..
