TAPPER – Randolph Bruce “Randy”
The Tapper family sadly announces Randy’s unexpected death at North Bay on Wednesday January 20th, 2016 at the age of 71 years. For the past 45 years he has been the devoted and loving husband to Leena (nee Hietala). The proud and loving father of Johanna, he will also be sadly missed by his sister Victoria Tapper, of Sudbury. Randy’s career in the mining industry was divided between Falconbridge Ltd. in Sudbury and J. S. Redpath Ltd. in North Bay. Following his retirement he enjoyed time spent improving his woodworking skills. Many will remember him for the wooden bowls, cutting boards and candle holders he produced and sold for several years at the Farmer’s Market. A Mason, Randy was a member of Nipissing Lodge # 420 A.F. & A.M. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. No visitation or services will be held. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home with online condolences at www.martynfh.com.
