My condolence to your Family.I had Mrs. Cleator for Kindergarden at Fairview School in the late 50's. She left quite an impact on me,I often thought of her. Dear Bernice was such an admirable woman. So talented in many aspects of her life. I knew her as a writer of both fiction and non-fiction from both writers clubs. Such a way with words & a wealth of experience to draw upon... she was never with inspiration. She was so proud of her family, always downplaying any aches or pains she may have endured. Always with her beautiful smile to cheer others. Loved hearing her laughter at our Christmas dinner celebrations at the Mandarin! No one would ever think Bernice was the age/years God gave her on this Earth. Bernice, you will truly be missed! Regards Marla Hayes

Dear George and Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Bernice was a precious lady with a heart of gold. Her warm and welcoming smile was there for all who needed her. Always ready to give a warm hug and, fortunately, I was one of those who received them regularly. I am deeply saddened by her passing but know that she is happily reunited with Ken (another precious and wonderful soul). How lovely that they found each other and are together once again. Lee

My sympathy to the entire Cleator family as you say goodbye to your cherished mother and grandmother. She made such valuable contributions in her family life, her church life and her community life, and she will be deeply missed. Her loss here on earth will most definitely be Heaven's gain! I remember so fondly my trips to Montreal and to North Bay to visit the Cleators. Our family looked forward to the Christmas parcel from the Montreal Cleators, as it contained a delicious Christmas pudding made by Bernice and the ladies of the congregation. That pudding was always a featured part of our Christmas dinner! I will be with you in spirit on Thursday, and in thought and prayer in the days and weeks ahead. With my heartfelt sympathy, Marg.
