I met Barb during my time with Leisureworld's (Waters Edge) Long Term Care Home, Family Council, Barb had sustained that council for many years (her Son had been a resident), and she stayed with the council even after his passing, and she did until I became chair of the group in 2008. Barb continued to volunteer with our council assisting, donating, and supporting the group until the spring of this year. Barb WAS our Condolence Committee for our Council and made sure that families of residents who had passed away at Leisureworld,received sympathy cards from our group. Barb was a wonderfully loving person and I am so very blessed to have been able to have called her my friend. Rest in Peace dear Barb, you will be dearly missed! I cherish the time we shared making fun memories at LW with the residents as well as doing our part in making the Home a better place for our loved ones. Because of her passion for dancing, and that she had the courage to do something with her passion, many young people have found joy in this pass-time and some have found careers. Her legacy lives on. Barbara was my very first dance teacher and studio where I started dancing at age 3. Barbara Treleaven was an amazing and inspiring dance teacher. If she did not have a studio and teach dance I am not sure I would have been exposed to dance and had made it my life's career. Thank you Barbara Treleaven for introducing me to the love of dance and inspiring me to pursue this love for over 40 years! You will be missed.
