I remember our basic training in Saint Jean and how much love you had for Marcel, carrying his picture and my heart ached for young everyone who love Marcel when I saw this. Hi Jeanette. We lived next door in Corbeil. I remember you standing on our dining room chair while my mother hemmed your white jeans with a star on the back pocket. You were telling my mom and I about this boy you met - Marcel. I met him shortly thereafter and I remember two things about Marcel - his infectious smile and how kind he was. As you were. Marcel was a great man .... no doubt. He bought the house that my husband Norm and I along with our family built from the ground up. It will always be HOME to us no matter who owns it. We have gone back to the house many times and Marcel always welcomed us in with open arms. We'd always have a chat and Marcel woud at times bring out his guitar. My granddaughter always asks to go back to "The Brown House" every year for her birthay and we always do just that. That house holds so many awesome memories for us and Marcel was definately a part of those in the years since he bought the house. Marcel became a dear friend to many of the extended family living on the adjoining property. He will surely be missed. Words cannot convey the shock we all feel. It was less than a month ago that we saw him last.
