I spent a lot of time at the Haflidson house in my younger years. I always appreciated Gwen's warmth, kindness and good humour. She had a big heart and made people feel welcome. I felt a lot of joy in her presence and no doubt others felt that too. I'll continue to pray for John, Ron, Kara and the rest of her family and friends who loved her so. May God bless you all. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord look upon you with favour and grant you peace. Rest in God's peace Gwen.

Gwen, you were an angel on the earth to everyone, I believe now you are one of the top angels in heaven. You always had a smile no matter how much pain you were in and you never complained about a thing - which I always found so amazing! Neil and I met Gwen over 40 years ago through a mutual friend. We lost touch until we realized that she was related to our friend and neighbor Gerry Rose. Since then, we would reconnect periodically, either on the golf course or at Gerry's fish fry. Gwen was always so upbeat and genuinely friendly - we will miss her. John, Ron, Kara, Wes and Nancy So sad to hear about Gwen. She was a very special person whose smile and and laugh could light up any room. I was blessed to see her when I was back to be with my Dad Jim before he passed away, and although he wasn't always with us in the last few days, as soon as Gwenie spoke to him, he recognized her right away. Etched in my memory forever will be her compassion of others, her passion for adventure and her courageous determination to live. She showed me how to love by how she lived her life.
