Obituary of Gertrude Jean Pollard

POLLARD – Gertrude Jean Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday May 13, 2015, while in her 86th year. Gertrude, nee Phillips, was the dearly loved wife of the late Robert George Pollard, who predeceased her in 1999. The proud and loving mother of Lisa Pollard and her partner Gordon Kane of Hamilton, she will also be lovingly remembered by her sister Margaret Jang (late Raymond) of Toronto. She was predeceased by her sister Erma Lippold (late Dave) and brothers Gerald Phillips (late Joy) and this past December by Glen Phillips, (Karen of Powassan). Gertrude was a legal secretary and bookkeeper by profession working in several North Bay law firms throughout the course of her career, retiring from Valin Partners in 1999. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral home on Monday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday May 19at 1:30 pm.
