Dear Phil: Our thoughts are with you today and wish that we could have been able to be with you in North Bay. I know how close you and your mom were so I can only imagine how you must feel today. While I didn't know her well, what I can say is that she raised a fine son and it was obvious how proud she was. The love she felt for you was a great part of the many wonderful ways she touched the lives of others overcoming challenges that would make most simply give up. I will always treasure a drive with Muriel from North Bay to Southern Ont where we travelled to see her beloved Phillip on stage. Muriel shared the story of her remarkable life and taught me that vision has little to do with sight but rather is a sense of spirit determination and a joy that comes from within. She was so proud of her family and her memory was astounding. Muriel and Phil a team to be reckoned with. Sending deepest love and sympathy to those who loved her. let her marvellous example and love of life live on in all you say and do. Wishing Mark and Zi could be with you to be part of the tribute and memorial to your dearest Mother. Sending love across the miles.
