Received peacefully, into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, January 24 2015, with her family by her side, at Eastholme Nursing home in Powassan. Olive was born in Ameliasburg (near Trenton) on August 24, 1920 to the late Douglas & Gladys Jones. Olive was the beloved wife of Garnet Stapley (predeceased 1984). The loving mother of Ruth (Doug) Brooks, Ralph (Bev), Janice, Steven (Sharon), Dan (Debbie) Stapley, Doug (predeceased 1978). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Lori (Chris) Jansen, Mark (Joanna) Brooks, Sheri (Andrew) Berezowski, Lisa Gilbert, Paul (Val), Sarah, Rebecca, Andrew (Alyssa), Patricia Stapley. Great Grandmother to Zachary, Noah, Grace Jansen, Zoe, Drea, Eli Brooks, Sam, Micah, Nathan, Lydia, Noelle Stapley. Predeceased by her brothers Frank, John, Bob, Ken, sisters Kathleen and Madeleine. Olive attended Bethel Gospel Chapel for 56 years. She was involved in Awana, food committees, Coffee Hour & missionary group. She had a gift of hospitality. One of her favorite past times was playing scrabble with family and friends. Special thank you, to Dr. Cowan and the staff at Easholme for their care and compassion. Family will receive friends at Greenwood Baptist Church on 235 Albert Ave. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MARTYN FUNERAL HOME.
