PLAMONDON – Joseph Dwayne
On Monday January 5, 2015, at the age of 53 years. For the past 35 years Dwayne has been the beloved husband of Susan (nee Orchard). The dear father of Sarah Dick (Mathew), Jason (Whitney) and Eric (Jennifer), he will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Rebekah, Isaiah, Elijah, Aviyonah, and Avery. He was awaiting the arrival of Eric and Jennifer’s daughter. Dwayne was the beloved son of Donald Plamondon, and was predeceased by his mother Mildred. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters Doreen (Bill), Donna (Paul) and Morgan (Kevin), his brother James, his mother in law Aline Orchard (late Ronald), his brothers in law George Orchard (Geraldine), and Stacy Pruegger (late Jenny). A graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines Dwayne’s entire career was in the mining sector, mostly in Northern Ontario. He was currently the Director of Mining with Workplace Safety North. Responsible for mine health and safety he dedicated himself to “bringing the miners home safely”. A loving father he was devoted to his family and tried to do a good deed every day, whether it was helping family, friends or a stranger on the side of the road. Dwayne thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and several years ago found his dream home at Tilden Lake, where he has enjoyed time fishing, riding his ATV and blueberry picking with Susan. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home. If desired donations in Dwayne’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society . Donations will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
