Obituary of Thomas Morton Whitney

WHITNEY: Thomas Morton Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at The Ottawa Hospital on Thursday, May 29, 2014, he was in his 55th year. Tom was the beloved son of Winnifred Whitney and the late Harold Whitney. Cherished father of Heather (Etienne), James (Michelle) and Kimberly. Sadly missed by his sisters Sheila Page and Marg McDiarmid, his beloved brothers-in-law Steve and Darren, and his nieces and nephews Matthew and Jason Page and Whitney, Maddie and Kyle McDiarmid. Tom was predeceased by his father, Harold Whitney. Tom was a dedicated leader and teacher in his workplace where he worked as a Tool and Die Maker and Millwright. He was an avid outdoorsman who couldn’t say no to a fishing trip. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Family will receive friends at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, June 1st from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service, in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will take place at Forest Lawn Crematorium following the funeral service.
