Obituary of Daniel Joseph Duquette

DUQUETTE, DANIEL (DAN) April 17, 1955 – January 13, 2014 at age 58, with his family by his side after an 8 ½ year, courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his wife of 26 years, Lynn (Laplante), his children Curtis (wife Chantal) of Mattawa and Kristy of North Bay, grandson Calvin Daniel of Mattawa and his father Clement of Calvin Township. Predeceased by his mother Laura in 1995. Also survived by siblings Monica Wionzek (Mike) of Ottawa, Connie Robinson (Barry) of Beachburg, Perry of North Bay, Holly Boissonneault (Mike) of Bonfield and Barry (Dianne) of North Bay. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and by his special friends, the Ribout boys and Dr. Barry Burrows. Thanks to Dr. Wilkins and staff, the emergency department at the Mattawa Hospital, the Sudbury Cancer Clinic and the North Bay Chemo Unit. Friends may call at the Martyn & Sloan ‘Mattawa Chapel’ on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Anne’s Church on Friday at 11 am. Spring interment at St. Anne’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Anne’ s Cemetery, St. Anne’s Church or the Sudbury Cancer Clinic would be appreciated.
