Obituary of Rita Mary LeClair

LeCLair – Rita (nee Reichstein) Peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan, on Thursday August 1, 2013, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimers disease, at the age of 86 years. For close to sixty years Rita was the beloved and devoted wife of Alvin LeClair. He predeceased her in 2006. The proud and loving mother of Catherine Stoud ( late Jay) of North Bay, Joan McDonald (John) of Midland, Doreen Cooper (late David) of North Bay, Terry (Brenda) of Callander, Shirley Smith (John) of Sudbury, Chris (Cindy) of Callander and the late Tommy, she will also be lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren and her 11 great grandchildren. Rita is also survived by her siblings Bert, Marie, Norma, Eugene, Freddie and Pat and was predeceased by Ambros, Evelyn and Theresa. Rita and Alvin were long time former residents of Tilden Lake where they lived and raised their family. A dedicated wife and mother she was a gifted quilter, enjoyed a hand of bridge and was an excellent cook. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7 – 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am on Saturday August 3, 2013.
