After a long illness, he passed away peacefully at the Mattawa Hospital, on Sunday July 7th, 2013, at the age of 66 years old. He is survived by his wife Rose-Ann, his six children Pauline (Eric), Paul (Laura), Rickie, Lorie (Don), Jeanette (Wade), Ann-Marie (Billie) and his siblings Robert (Peggy), Gerald (Cathy), Susie (Murray). He will be lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Remi and Jacqueline Leroux. Richard was a very hard working man, who took care of his family. He was well known and proud to have owned several successful businesses during his life, which were 417 Auto Wreckers and Highway Sand and Gravel. Visitation will be held at the Martyn & Sloan “Mattawa Chapel” on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, July 11th at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow the funeral.
