There are many many stories to share over the years I had worked for Gerd, but one in particular comes to mind.
We all know that Gerd loved and respected all of gods creatures.
Every winter I would plow the Garden centre, his driveway and shovel his walkway for him. One morning I had noticed a very small deer sleeping under Gerds living room window. When I had mentioned it to Gerd he had said that he had been watching the small deer and his mother for months and his mother had not been around for weeks. For the rest of the winter the deer slept under Gerds living room window and Gerd would feed the deer to ensure its survival. Early in the spring the deer had left very heathy and often would return.
Gerd was one of the most kindest, loving man I had ever met and will ever know. I am truly blessed to have had him as a mentor. You are missed by so many. My heart goes out to the Schutz family.
