Obituary of Phyllis Lorrine Burton

BURTON – Phyllis Lorine “Dode” Peacefully at Cassellholme, on Monday January 7, 2012 at the age of 85. Phyllis, nee Cottrill, was the beloved wife of the late Charles Reginald “Reg” Burton, who predeceased her in 1994. Phyllis was the proud and loving mother of Peter (Joy) of Ottawa, Stephen (Stacey Golder) of Sudbury, and Carey, and Gail Burton (Paul Lanouette) all of North Bay, and will be fondly remembered by her daughter in law Deborah Burton. She will be lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. The dear sister of Ken Cottrill (Esther) of B.C., Jean Farnsworth of Midland, Joy Black (Clarence) of North Bay, and June Clingen (Ed) of Whitby, she was predeceased by her brother Beverly “Bev” (late Rilla) and sisters Shirley Hansman and Sharon Chesney (late David). Phyllis will be very fondly and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and extended family. Phyllis’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Cassellholme, especially the 3rd floor, for the love and compassionate care given these past months. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 - 4 & 7 – 9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am on Friday January 11, 2013.
