Obituary of Helen Wilson

Helen Jean Wilson Born August 28, 1908 in London, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents James T. and Grace Wilson, and her brothers Bert, George, John and Clifford, and her sisters Vera, Rena, Pat and Dorothy (October 29, 2012). Jean was a kindergarten teacher for 35 years, retiring in June 1968. She was a 44 year member of the Retired Teachers Association of Nipissing. Jean was a member of St. Andrew's United Church and was a volunteer for years at the Cancer Clinic at the Civic Hospital, and worked in the Tuck Shop of the Civic Hospital. Passed away December 17, 2012 at Casselholme. She was in her 105th year. Jean will be remembered by her nephew Bud Johnson (Colleen) of North Bay, her niece Megan Torfe (Tony) of Thunder Bay, her nephew Bob Willoughby (Brenda) of Peterborough, her great-niece Debbie Rich (Louis) of North Bay, as well as several nieces and nephews of the Wilson family in Sudbury, Ontario. Family will receive friends on Monday, January 7th, 2013 at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 8th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial at Terrace Lawn Cemetery in spring 2013. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation (cheques only) will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
