Obituary of Helen Elizabeth Wesson

WESSON – Helen Elizabeth Peacefully at Cassellholme, on Monday December 7, 2015, at the age of 86 years. For the past 61 years Helen has been the beloved wife of Martin “Marty” Wesson. The dearly loved mother of Robert (Donna) of Halifax, Richard (Joanna) of Calgary and Ross (Ann) of North Bay, she will also be lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her brother Robert Walter Rankin (Zaida of Sarnia). Born in North Bay, Helen trained as a nurse at the Toronto East General Hospital. She worked for a time at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore before returning to North Bay where she worked for many years in the operating rooms at the former St. Joseph’s and Civic Hospitals. In keeping with Helen’s wishes cremation has taken place. A grave side service to inter her ashes in the family plot will be held in Terrace Lawn Cemetery on Thursday December 10, 2015 at 11:00 am. Rev. Jane Howe officiating. If desired donations to the charity of one’s choice or the North Bay District Humane society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
