McDIVITT, Allan “Al“ L. - (Inducted into the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame March 3, 1990 - The 1969 Garland Pepsi's Provincial Intermediate Men's Basketball “B“ Champions; Member of the North Bay Golf & Country Club and Dalewood Golf & Curling Club, Port Hope) Peacefully, at The Village of Taunton Mills, Whitby, on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer Disease. Al, in his 74th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Helen (née Gamble). Loving and devoted father of Jim and Rob (Amy) McDivitt. Dear grandfather of Grayson and Ivy. Predeceased by his parents Bing and Ina McDivitt. Fondly remembered by his brother Ross (Nancy) McDivitt of Ancaster and their children Kelly and David and their families. Dear brother-in-law of Phill Gallson (late Marian) of Buffalo and Betty Gamble (late Fred) of Sarnia. Dear uncle of Phillip (Kathy) Gallson, Sharlene (John) Buszka and Christopher (Jodie) Gallson, all of Buffalo and Stephen Gamble of New York and David Gamble of Sarnia. Relatives and friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME, 464 Wyld Street, North Bay (705- 472-8810) on Saturday, May 5, 2012 for visitation from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Cremation. Interment will take place at the North Bay Union Cemetery in the family plot. Special thanks to the staff on Dunlop Floor, Taunton Mills for their care and compassion.
