Obituary of Ray Cyril Wilkins

WILKINS: Ray C. Passed away on Monday, December 19th, at the North Bay Regional Health Center. He leaves Sadie Bell, Paulie Empie, Kim Wilkins, Dawn Wilkins, Gail Wilkins and Don Bell. He will be lovingly remembered by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Ray was a navigator with the RAF during WWII and flew many missions in Lancaster’s deep into Germany. He was a member of the team for the Dambuster Raids, on May 17, 1943. After the War, he and Sadie moved to Canada. He had a General Store in Chisholm and became the Reeve in Chisholm. He moved to North Bay in 1960. He was very proud of the Legion. Ray loved life and loved people. Ray always made people laugh and smile. He helped everyone. Ray’s family will receive friends in the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 21st, from 12noon until time for a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment at the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
