Our deepest condolences to Al's family and all who are mourning such a wonderful man. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have known Al for many years as one of our favorite "dock friends" Such a kind soul and it was quite evident that his passion was boating. I am so sad to hear of Alan's passing, we had great times in High school at Algonquin. He was a great man a good friend. I will keep him in my prayers. I am so glad that I got to see him again 3 years ago.

I am very sorry for your loss, as a friend of both your mom and dad's for many years, I will miss our monthly phone calls and the news of his family, as only Alan could tell it. The boating group of friends and being on his boat were truly the best place he liked to be and was happy I am sure. I will miss this connection and him. We cannot be there to support you in person, but know that our love is with you all. Alan was first my big sister's cool boyfriend with the awesome car, then a wonderful brother-in-law to me and son-in-law to our parents. He was a hands-on and devoted father and so much fun with Garth's and my children. We became very close over the years and I am so happy that we could share anything with each other, laughter and tears.
