Obituary of Daniel Lalonde

The Lalonde family sadly announces Daniel’s death at the Mattawa General Hospital.Surrounded by his family Daniel died on Saturday August 27th, 2011 at the age of 27, following a year long battle with cancer.A much beloved son and brother he will be lovingly remembered by his parents Richard and Jacqueline (nee Roy) Lalonde, of Mattawa, his sister Stefanie of Vankleek Hill and brother Adrien of Mattawa.Daniel will be sadly missed by his aunts and uncles; Raymond Roy (Carol) of Kitchener, Joanne Roy of Kapuskasing, Robert Lalonde, Bonnie Lalonde and Rose Duford (Ken) all of Ottawa, as well as his many friends. An accomplished video game master, Daniel grew up in Ear Falls, Ontario moving to Mattawa with his family in 2001.For the past several years he thoroughly enjoyed living in Toronto and city life, until his failing health necessitated his move back to his family in Mattawa.Friends may call at the Martyn & Sloan, Mattawa Chapel on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Wednesday August 31st at 11:00am.Interment to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery. Daniel’s family are especially grateful and offer their sincerest thanks to all of the medical staffin Mattawa, North Bay and Sudbury who providedhim with outstanding care during his illness.
