My condolences to Bob''s family. I have just completed 30 years in the municipal field and knew Bob for all of those years. Such a pleasant, quiet man with a distinct laugh. A couple of years ago I ran into someone who know Bob when I was flying home from Iceland -he was doing consulting work on elections in Bangledesh - small world. Good memories and everyone who know Bob, in our Zone 7 and at AMCTO appreciate his years of service.

Lisa, Pat, Emily, Tommy, and Sarah Our thoughts are with you. My dad passed away in March after a short illness as well. I just got back to Newmarket after spending the early part of this week helping my mom plant her garden - I believe my mom will be by on Saturday as she worked with your dad at "Meals on Wheels". It seems like it is a generational rite of passage - several of our high school contemporaries have lost parents over the past few years. Mari-Lynn

Dear Margaret, Susan and Lisa: Geri and I were sorry to hear of your sad loss. Bob was an incredible public servant. In his years at City Hall, he became the corporate memory of the City. I benefited greatly from my contact with him as a young member of council, as he shared his wealth of knowledge about the city and its operations. His ability to grasp situations and assist members of council deal effectively with them was incredible. We know the coming days and months will be challenging, but we hope they will be made somewhat less painful by remembering the good times that you shared over the years. Our thoughts are with you. Dear Margaret, Susan and Lisa: My sincere sympathy to you. I was so shocked when I learned of his illness and I wanted to call him but I couldn''t bring myself to do it. I have so many happy memories of my working days with Bob. We worked together for 33 years. He was a good boss! We also had a lot of fun and laughs. I remember the bbq we had at your home in the back yard, and Biff had us play some games. I will remember the good times we had at City Hall.
