To the Lister Family On behalf of the Buttler family in Toronto I just wanted to send a note saying how sorry we were to hear of Merle's passing. We all fondly remember the fun times the 614 Legion gang had together. They certainly lived life to the fullest and were all the best of friends. I remember several years ago your mom coming to Cordova Lake for a girls weekend at Marion Gubb's cottage with my mom (Agnes Buttler) and Helen Myles. My husband went and picked them all up to come for a visit to our cottage (as we are on the same lake as the Gubb's). Those girls sure loved to enjoy white wine and have appetizers and talk and laugh!!! It's nice to think of them all being together again. Please know you're in our thoughts at this very sad time. Dear Chris and Steve and families: I''m so sorry to hear of your Mom''s passing. Please pass my sympathies on to your families. It was so nice to see Chris and Merle last fall at Jean''s wedding. Auntie Merle promised me she would rattle my dishes when she passed. So far I haven''t heard anything but still expect it! That promise was made a long time ago, so she may have forgotten.
