Obituary of William James Porteous

PORTEOUS, WILLIAM JAMES (BILL) After a lengthy illness on Sunday February 21, 2010 at 88 years of age. Dear husband of the late Delma Porteous (nee Hearn). Loving father of Lynn Chandler (John) of North Bay, Bill Porteous (Cheryl) of North Bay, Cheryl Palangio (Ian) of Sudbury, Paul Porteous (Dorena) of Williams Lake, B.C. and Kim Porteous (Mark Slobodian) of Burlington. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Survived by his brother Dave Porteous (Leona) of Langley, B.C. and many nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Dumfries, Scotland in 1921. He served in WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A private family service will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home.
