Dufresne, Maurice 1932-2009
Passed away at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Tuesday October 20, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved and cherished husband of Marlene Dufresne (Mason). Predeceased by father Sam Dufresne, mother Anne Gagne (Leclair) and step-father Roland Gagne.
Loving father to Michael Dufresne (Katherine) of Ottawa, Rachel (Fritz), David, and Susan of New York State. Step-father to David LeBrasseur (Viviane) and Debbie Morin (Gerard). Dear grandfather of Stephanie Morin, Jesse & Corey LeBrasseur and Sophie Lagrandeur-Dufresne. Maurice worked for many years at Metro-Motive and H.E. Browns Supply. Sociable and friendly with a great sense of humour, he enjoyed working with the public. Maurice will be especially missed by his brother-in-law Don Mason and his wife Gail. Special thanks to Dr. Barry Birosh and Kim, the nurses on 400, VON and community services, and the Canadian Cancer Society. Heartfelt thanks as well to Pastor Lance Schubert and dear friend Bob Shantz for their support and kindness. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home (across from city hall) on Friday from 6-7:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 pm. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.
