WATTS (Vollrath) (nee Giddings): Freda
Peacefully at Cassellholme in North Bay on Tuesday October 12, 2004 in her 90th year. Dear mother of Carl Vollrath (Fern) and Brent Vollrath both of North Bay and Grigg Vollrath (Carolyn) of Edmonton Dear step-mother of Gill Watts (Cynthia) of North Bay and Pamela Casey (Keith) of Barrie. Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Freda (Kannegiesser) Giddings and William Giddings, her step-mother Daisie Giddings, her first husband Otto Vollrath, infant baby Vollrath, her second husband Ernest Watts, her sister Audrey Taylor and her brother Laughlin Giddings. Survived by brother Caughlin Giddings of Vancouver, B.C., sisters Myrtle Stewart (Iverson) of Port Alexander, Ontario, Joyce Giddings of Nipigon, Ontario, Megan Rathjie of Thunder Bay, Ontario and Beryle Weisner of Cape Breton, N.S. Freda worked at Cassellholme Home of the Aged until her retirement. She was actively involved with The Friendship Group at Trinity United Church, she was a life member of The Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary, Branch 23, she was also a member of the Golden Age Club. She was an avid bowler and dart player and she also loved to travel. Resting at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall) in North Bay today from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM and at the Valley Funeral Home in Deep River on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Services to be held at the St. Andrew's United Church in Chalk River on Saturday, October 16th, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in the Forest View Cemetery in Chalk River. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
