Obituary of Colene Monica Hawkins

At North Bay on Thursday February 15, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Colene Monica (nee Mauro) and her beloved husband Norman Ross Hawkins were married for 55 years at the time he predeceased her in 2003. Proud and loving mother of Thomas (Debbie) of Callander and Jane Dobbs of North Bay. She was predeceased by her son Craig, her grandson Richard and his wife Laurie and by her great grandchildren Casandra and Jordon. Colene will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Tommy, Shawn, & Craig Jr. Hawkins, and Melinda & Keith Dobbs, and by her great grandchildren Kendra, Kayla, Tyler, Austin, Faith, Kylie and Emma. A dedicated wife and mother Colene was also a long-time employee of the A & P Grocery Store, operating the deli at their Lakeshore Drive Location for many years. At her request cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Tuesday February 20 from 1-2 pm. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow in the Chapel at 2 pm. Interment of ashes will be in the Union Cemetery, North Bay. Colene's family wish to offer their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all the staff on the 3rd floor at Cassellholme who provided such wonderful care to Colene during her time with them.
