Obituary of Helen Laurine MacFarlane

The MacFarlane family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved sister, Helen Laurine MacFarlane, in her 90th year, on January 18, 2018 in North Bay. Helen was the daughter of the late William B. and Jean MacFarlane. She was a much loved elementary school teacher, who both enjoyed and respected the beauty and wonders of nature. Helen was predeceased by her partner, Michael, and two of her brothers, Bert and Billy. She is survived by her brothers, Don and John, her sisters, Margaret, Elizabeth and Joanne, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family extends sincere gratitude to the superb team at Water’s Edge, who provided compassionate care for Helen during the last nine years. The family also wishes to recognize the kindness and support extended to Helen by some of her neighbours on Summit Drive. A celebration of Helen’s life will take place in North Bay. Details to be announced, at a later date.
