Obituary of Katherine Mary Franz

FRANZ – Katherine Katherine Franz died peacefully on January 25, 2018 at the Water’s Edge Care Community surrounded by the love of her family. In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated. Visitation and a celebration of her life will be held at Martyn Funeral Home in North Bay on January 29th, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm with Reverend Linda White officiating. Reception to follow at Martyn Funeral Home. Katherine is survived by her devoted and loving husband Robert. She is the very proud and loving mother of sons Robert (Cathy) and Randy (Marlee) and she held a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren, Erik, Evan and Alyssa in Ottawa as well Jacob, Benjamin and Hannah in North Bay. Memorial donations may be made to the North Bay Alzheimer’s Society. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all the staff on Pier One, and the activity coordinators at Water’s Edge for the compassion and excellent care they provided to Katherine.
