Obituary of Brenda Larente-Mathieu

Brenda Larente-Mathieu (nee Bellaire) Brenda passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, January 19th, 2018 at the North Bay Regional Health Center at the age of 74. Dearly loved wife of Roland Mathieu. Daughter of Annette Bellaire. Loved by her daughters Suzanne Cadotte (Gilles), Deborah Turcotte (Glenn), and Teri Thompson-Ryan (Darrell). Grandmother of Kyle, Joshua (Jessica), Abbey, Carly, Jenna and Great Grandmother of Nora. She will also be missed by her step-children Pat Mathieu (Heather), David Mathieu (Wendy), Carol Sitko (Larry), and Stuart Chambers. Brenda is survived by her siblings Bernie Bellaire (Faye), Barbara Montreuil (Edgar, deceased), Jim Bellaire (Darlene), Charlene Fell and Randy Bellaire (Cheryl). Brenda will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her Father, James Bellaire, Baptiste Larente (first husband) and Laurie Chambers (step-daughter). Brenda was a well-known person in the Mattawa Community as a dedicated postal worker and volunteer for many organizations before moving to North Bay to be closer to her children and grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held for Brenda at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Mattawa on Saturday, January 27th, at 11:00 am. There will be no visitation. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by Brenda’s family.
