Obituary of Gordon Ross Cardwell

CARDWELL Gordon Ross August 26, 1941 - September 25, 2017 Beloved son of Benjamin Cardwell (1946) and Olive Rennie Cardwell (1987). Predeceased by older brothers Benjamin and Edward and one nephew. Co-founder of C & C Properties, Knowlton Ridge Equestrian Centre and Parry Sound Equestrian Centre; respected former BSM and Chief Training Officer, Fort Henry Guard; long serving Director, Board of the North Bay Jack Garland Airport Corporation; former member of MoPED, Powassan; remembered as an enthusiastic teacher Rosseau Lake College, former employee Ministry of Community Services including Superintendent of Project DARE; dedicated coach in several sports and early supporter of the North Bay dog park. Survived by nephews and nieces Edward (Ted), Richard (Rick), Sandra and Susan Cardwell and Anne Cardwell Trimm and their families. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Gord at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday October 27th from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. Donations in Gord's memory to All Heart Pet Rescue, Powassan or a charity of choice will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
