Obituary of Brian James Beninger
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of “Grandpa Brian” James Beninger (1946/10/18) on Oct 6, 2024, in North Bay ON.
He will be fondly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Toni Beninger (nee Antoinette Demers); his daughter Michelle Seguin and her husband John of Astorville ON; his son Robin and partner Daniela dos Santos Pinto of Victoria BC; his grandchildren Maleah Seguin (Dan Grant) and their children Gracie Jo and Morgan; Tait Seguin (Vendela Edmonds); Finn Seguin (Aurora Buckley) and their children Elwood and Maisie; Kobe Seguin (Elaine D’Agostino); Quinn Beninger; Levi Beninger; and Statia Beninger; his siblings Michael (and Sue) Beninger; Patty Beninger; Mary Jo (and Bob) Duggan; many nieces and nephews.
Brian had a very full life and followed his many dreams, which often started with his usual phrase, “Toni, I have an idea...” He was an innovator and entrepreneur, creating such companies as Speakeasy Software, and Sanctuary Woods Multimedia. He had a brilliant mind, a never-ending creative imagination, and a love for learning that kept him occupied until his last days. His steadfastness, his kindness, his insights, and his sense of humour will be missed.
A family celebration of life was held earlier this week on “The Island” in Lake Nosbonsing.
