Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Daniel "Danny" George Brown, at the age of 61, early in the morning of October 5th, 2024, in the Palliative Care Unit (D3) of North Bay Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in North Bay, Ontario, on November 3, 1962, Danny was the beloved son of the late Kenneth James Brown and Maryline Sandra Brown (née Alkins). He spent his formative years in North Bay, attending E. T. Carmichael Public School, Fricker Public School, and Widdifield Secondary School. After completing his education in Drafting, Danny worked in a different capacity at Canadore College for the past two decades, where he was a valued team member.

Danny is lovingly remembered by his three children: Trevor Daniel Brown (Jenny Clugston), Thomas James Brown (Jennifer Lamothe), and Taylor Maryanna Brown. He also leaves behind his elder brother, Michael James Brown (Kelly Brown), and his cherished grandchildren, Haley, Ethan, and Auston.

A man of many passions, Danny was deeply connected to motive power in all its forms. Whether soaring through the skies as a licensed pilot, cruising on his motorcycle, or off-roading in his Jeeps, Danny lived for adventure. His true sanctuary, however, was the Family Island on Callander Bay, a place where he found peace and joy.

Known for his mischievous spirit and boundless sense of humour, Danny was never one to pass up the opportunity to tease, crack a joke, or make a funny face. His lightheartedness was infectious, and his laughter will be missed by all who knew him. Yet, beneath his playful exterior was a protector with a heart of gold—always willing to defend and sacrifice for the happiness and well-being of those he loved. His gentle soul and unwavering loyalty will forever be remembered by family and friends.

Danny's ashes will be laid to rest with his parents at Terrace Lawn Cemetery. A private gathering will be held later to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Danny's memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
